What to Expect in an In-Home Lifestyle Session
In-Home Lifestyle photography is rising in popularity for a lot of reasons!
People are craving the need to have more natural photographs of their family taken;
People want something authentic;
People don’t want the stress of convincing their children to pose and smile;
People want to include other family members like pets;
People want to enjoy the experience.
There are probably more reasons but that is what I could come up with on the spot!

I know I have started the blog post off, expecting you to know what an In-Home session is, and, if you have had a nosey through the website, or followed me on my socials, you will know what my style of photography is, and will have an idea, but for those of you who don’t, here is a quick explanation: an In-Home Lifestyle session is a very relaxed family photo session, done in the comfort of your own home. The aim is to capture you and your family in a space you love, doing the things you enjoy doing as a family, and including all your family – and if that means the goldfish then they will be included too!
Although I tend more to a documentary style of photography, I also take the time to do a few more “posed” images, like everyone snuggled together on the bed, or sofa, although the bed seems to be the most popular choice!
Sessions begin with me having a little tour of your home, having a chat with everyone and getting to know you all. Then out comes my camera and I photograph you all as you are, doing an activity you enjoy doing, or something that is usually not allowed, but…just this once…(like jumping on the bed!)

And when can we have one of these sessions? Whenever you like! The good part about in-home sessions is that it doesn’t really matter what the weather is like, and living in Lincolnshire, we have a 50/50 chance of rain or crazy wind at any given time of year! You can also have these sessions for a special moment, like the birth of a new baby (which is one of the most popular reasons) or for Christmas (decorating the tree for instance) or any other time of the year where you want to capture your family together.
If you would like to have a chat with me to book in one of these special sessions, then you can either fill in the contact form or send me an email and I would be happy to answer any and all of your questions!
