In-Home Lifestyle
Do you remember all the little details of your everyday when you were a child? Have those memories faded in your mind, but do they reignite when you find an old snapshot taken on a day out a family picnic? Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have more of those little moments? My images always focus on those captured moments – the little things, the secret cuddles, the holding of hands, the hug, the silly face, the giggles, the sideways glance, the cake-covered face and every other little moment that helps to tell the story.
The little every day things that make up this thing we call life. It isn’t the stiff formal family portrait that was taken in another person’s studio, it is what happens in the place most precious to you – your home.
During a family documentary session, I come to your home and then I help tell your story.
This type of session is a bit different from a normal portrait session, and can last up to 1.5-2hrs. We spend some time at the beginning, looking around, getting to know each other, and having a chat, so that everyone feels familiar with having me around. After that, we begin, and I document your life. More details will be sent with your welcome pack, which is chock full of information, thoughts, and ideas to help prepare and inspire you, but just to give you an idea, we could document play time, story time, bedtime, bath, baking, jumping on the bed (a definite must in every session!), painting, bubbles, running, splash time in the garden (a sprinkler in the summer is a surefire win), throwing leaves, a family snowball fight, and more….
These sessions are perfect for all ages – from maternity and newborn and up.
Sessions last from 45 min -1.5 hours, and are completely child-led. Full pricing can be found here.
